How to Export Active Directory Users Accounts to a file in Windows Server

This article will assist a technician with exporting all users accounts in Active Directory to a text file in Windows Server 2000, 2003, 2008 and 2012.

Details


Prerequisites

  • User must have console access (local or RDP) to a Windows Server domain controller.

Solution

  1. Login to a Domain Controller.
  2. Click Start.
  3. Click Run.
  4. Type CMD.
  5. At the command prompt, type net users >userlist.txt and press enter.

All user accounts will be included in the file called userlist.txt.
